@QhubaGumbi64256@MxolisiBob interesting take, the word “tshwana” also means brown in setswana dialect, i’d assume the whites removed the h because they couldn’t pronounce it as such, and thus reduced it to “tswana” , it also applies to the “tshwana” context of similarity, we in essence could be “batshwana”
@shuzmasixole@Dwabaman_ZA from the approach it seems centrally he wanted adams and mokoena to play those balls to rayners and fosters feet where they would give a wall pass to the wingbacks and run in behind, unfortunately mexico realised early and setup well after
@fikzo1126 thats a very fair argument to be honest, it begs the question as to the sudden change in approach, i would like to imagine it was only for the first game due to the opening match pressure and occasion, he should go with the tried and tested in the next 2 games
@king_stell80@Tsolomm thats the approach i expected him to take in the 2nd when we still had a chance, bring in those who will give the mexican defence problems, the red card put is off balance, and whether or not he was gonna bring them on or not we’ll never know 💔
@malo__s definitely, i think he also went so defensive as so to not expose the inexperience in our players defensively, so adding more numbers would balance that , but maybe this line up and approach you bring up would have worked , thats football we lost and we’ll never know 🙏🏽
@sa4ev_94 i respect that, maybe knowing just how strong mexico would come at us broos wanted to avoid humiliation because in a toe to toe game the team with better quality usually comes out best 🙏🏽 we played against panama because the FA believed they would offer something similar to mexi
@IncogReloaded exactly, that gap in experience matters a lot more than people are willing to admit, and by going defensively maybe broos wanted to cover for that
especially in a game of that magnitude 🇿🇦
i appreciate the positive feedback 🙏🏽
@king_stell80@Tsolomm unfortunately we conceded early and got slapped with a red card early in the 2nd half , that means with a man down he had to change his game plan
@king_stell80@Tsolomm not really the performance , more so where i think the idea was going, i believe he wanted a 0-0 at half time and then bring attackers in the 2nd half when mexico would have dropped in tempo and become pressured as the home team
@malo__s i completely agree with that , changing the system like that is a concern, maybe they saw that if we play a normal open game, we could get exposed in quality, and possibly humiliated
