@MAYWISHER so in summary, if you like visual novels and the tropes accompanying them, as well as charmingly period-appropriate tropes and visuals, and can at least tolerate male POV heterosexual harem situation, i’d recommend it for the really unique premise as a war story

@MAYWISHER - owing to all of them having to harden their hearts due to the ongoing war against the aliens and the fact that well, something like half the world’s population already died. And so when you watch them grow and train with one another, it feels really satisfying

@MAYWISHER Muv Luv, a visual novel franchise that starts as a generic slice of life romance but the sequel suddenly puts the MC into an alternative universe where he has to fight aliens in a mech along with all the female love interests. she’s their teacher, Marimo, in both settings

@AlpelDokkan I wanted to just read the original rather than the remaster so I ended up with this translation on accident. I was in disbelief when Illya called Kiritsugu a "crakka."
