Hello trainers! I’m SSamurai, the creator of Pokémon Unbreakable Ties.

As you may have noticed, I’ve been inactive on social media for a while now, including on the Discord server. For 4 years of development, I worked on this project every single day, until after a series of events that led to a diagnosed depression, I realized I couldn’t keep living in the same obsessive loop. Even when I was doing badly, I kept forcing myself to continue working and trying to solve a personal issue that no longer made sense. Friends and family kept telling me to step away from what was hurting me. The environment I had created through mistakes in my personal life related to the project, combined with the self-imposed pressure to create something huge was consuming me more and more, until I eventually hit rock bottom.

I wouldn’t feel the need to explain my absence if I didn’t know that some of you care not only about the game and the community I built (which I love deeply), but also genuinely about me as a person. That’s why I’m leaving this message. However, I need to learn how to separate my personal and professional life, so I won’t be speaking about this topic or anything related to the past never again.

Regarding Unbreakable Ties, I want to be very clear: I can’t give a real release date for Beta 5, and I’m honestly tired of giving dates I can’t guarantee. These past few months, I’ve focused on disconnecting. I forced myself to step away for a while, dedicate time to organizing my life. Since the beginning of this game, I had never truly taken a break. Development progress will continue from now on.
