• share rate (0.18%): how many sent it to a friend.
• comment rate (1.40%): how many left a comment. utilize hate comments (make lead magnets/different content angle addressing objection)
• repost rate (0.03%): how many put it on their own page.
• save rate (0.25%): how many saved it for later.
• new followers (+41): how many followed you because of this post.

fix in this order:

hook → retention → value → CTA = growth

my simple ig carousel framework:

• slides 1, 2, 3 = three separate hooks
• darken the photo so the text pops
• less text, always
• text bottom left/middle
• one clear CTA at the end of slides

only metric that rly matters is completion rate

here's a list of things i wish i knew sooner about carousels that actually work:

• stop pouring everything into slide 1, spend just as much time on slides 2 and 3
• treat slides 1, 2 and 3 as three separate hooks
• a slide that needs context cant hook a stranger
• build big, 2160x2700 for quality headroom
• less text always, never more
• darken the photo so the words pop
• keep your text towards the bottom
• dump pexels, pull from pinterest
• 8-10 slides not 7
• chase completion rate not slide count
• match your audio to the vibe, dont chase trends
• make two types, one for reach one to convert
• "how i lost 10 pounds" beats "how to lose 10 pounds"
• show your face, people connect with people
• steal formats from tiktok and twitter threads, instagram lags
• re-cut a viral reel or thread into a carousel
• check where reach came from, non followers means you hit the algo
• end every carousel with a CTA or include in caption
