@N1nE_009@LNhistorian Honestly yeah - form your own opinions. I was anime only back when s2 started and much of what I heard from novel readers was hate. Lots of novel readers had unrealistic expectations going into today's ep, but truthfully it played out exactly as the anime showed.
@rezero_ice The cliffhanger went exactly as it felt in the novel. Fantastic stuff. Not sure what else people were expecting. Loving the anime only reactions lol
@ai21_react19 Exactly my thoughts. This wasn't a scene that needed any "enhancing." I think the events that follow likely influenced people's expectations for the scene
I read arc 6 of rezero five years ago, but besides THAT upcoming twist itself, I don't recall it being something that would need anything other than what ICE has said it feels like. It seems like it'll go exactly how I envisioned in my head back then
Re: Zero Season 4, Episode 7 - Spoiler Warning
Well, this is the big one. This is the episode where most consider Arc 6 truly to start.
Honestly, I don't know what to type up for this one. The first half is fine, just building up to the balcony scene.
Now, when it comes to the balcony adaptation, that was done pretty well. Though I felt the level of eeriness and suspense was still conveyed better in the novels, there were some really cool stuff, such as conveying how robotic the birds feel with an awesome first person POV shot of one of them gazing at Eridna and Subaru! The birds by the way are not like their Light Novel description, but follow Otsuka's versions.
And man, the voice acting during this scene was fantastic and we did get some awesome shots of the tower under the night sky.
Now for what's most anticipated. The big twist at the end. Honestly, I felt like they could have done much more with it. It just felt routine and I feel like while for anime-onlies it'll definitely be a WTF moment, it may feel a bit lacking to novel readers. This is just my own opinion, though, don't take it as gospel.
The episode adapts right to the end of Volume 22, ending at Subaru's "I'VE BEEN SUMMONED INTO A PARALLEL WORLD!?", with Subaru striking a similar pose as he did in S1E1 when he said those words.
Not an extended length episode. No opening. Ending plays as normal straight after the line above.
Title: Coming out of the Convenience Store, There was a Wonderous World
@LoremIpsumVerb There is really only one "satisfying" spot to end it (which would be the end of the arc). The only other I could think of is 16 chapters prior I guess? But that would feel so bad for source readers, and still wouldn't feel completely "satisfying" even without further knowledge
