@comradesquirrel @juleslipoff Good point.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@formerlyfiz @juleslipoff I love Volvo cars, especially the boxy ones.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@notforriding @juleslipoff Maybe not idiots, but they could just be lazy.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@N65Michelle @AnnTakamaki19 @juleslipoff It sounds magical. Marc Almond and Soft Cell are definitely underappreciated. Last month, I was going through old records and listened to my vinyl copy of The Art of Falling Apart for the first time in a decade.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@wompaaa @juleslipoff Growing up in the Bay Area we used to call those kids gutter punks.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@Mgillis29 @juleslipoff Okay, thanks for letting me know.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@Cassiopeya_ @Lady8Jane @tonytribby @juleslipoff Okay I'm wrong, but did you have to actually spell out the word period?

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@N65Michelle @AnnTakamaki19 @juleslipoff Occasionally I still listen to early Sisters of Mercy (Alice, 1969, Adrenochrome, etc..). As an adult, Goth, especially Batcave, is probably the most ridiculous youth subculture ever. Yet there is something quite innocent and endearing about it.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@andreahuntern @juleslipoff You're probably right. Twitter is unique, because it's really easy to rile up lots of people, over really insignificant stuff by just stating an opinion that is contrary.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@HilldaleWard @juleslipoff Success in HS is mostly due to self discipline and just doing what you are told. Actual intelligence has little to do with it.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@succubusbun @juleslipoff I'm sure she will be a very successful capitalist l.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@Lady8Jane @tonytribby @juleslipoff Possibly

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@PrometheusUB_I @juleslipoff If not me, then who?

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@walmarteyedrops @juleslipoff It wouldn't be the first time.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@tonytribby @juleslipoff Maybe I'm wrong, but those all sound like yuppie type careers to me.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@tonytribby @juleslipoff Also, who thinks you have to attend a university to be "educated"? College, for most kids, is simply a career path.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@juleslipoff This is especially true if they are from Long Island, like these kids.

[Dan @DanM91089082]

@juleslipoff Anyone who puts enough effort in HS to be salutatorian is definitely not counterculture at heart. In 15 years she'll be married to some executive driving a Volvo and looking to a buy a home in an upscale suburb with really good schools.
