I’m not a fan of April Fools Day and I thought I’d explain why. ..For it is a cautionary and sad tale…

One April Fools Day, many years ago, me and my brother were hanging out at home when our friend Simon came around to play video games.

My brother had recently got his hands on a tub of something called ‘fart putty’, which was basically a tub that when you squeezed it made a farting noise. And so for over an hour me and my brother quiety passed this tub to one another and surreptitiously squeezed it behind our backs, convincing Simon that we were loudly breaking wind every couple of minutes.

Simon, impressed, and in an ill-fated attempt to compete, shit himself and had to go home.

We were in our thirties.

Greggs doesn't get enough criticism for the fact that it obliterated traditional bakeries. The food is also mass produced shite that's cooked/often cremated from frozen. I don't understand why it's so loved. If you still have a proper bakery nearby - use them instead.
