She is absolutely right, it is good to have Hungary back in the European family.

Today, we had a substantive discussion on a range of EU’s foreign policy priorities, including Russia’s war against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.

I look forward to working closely with her in the EU Foreign Affairs Council and beyond.

We warmly welcome everyone on 9 May to full-day inauguration celebrations in Budapest, at Kossuth Square and along the Danube embankment in front of Parliament.
The inaugural session of the National Assembly begins at 10:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live on large screens throughout the event.
The election of the Prime Minister, the oath-taking ceremony and the Prime Minister’s speech will take place at 3:00 p.m.
From 4:00 p.m. onwards, the celebrations will continue on Kossuth Square with a military parade and a ceremonial flag-raising.

Viktor Orbán's propaganda outlet, @indexhu, misled readers throughout the election campaign. Their most significant false claim concerned a Russian-style disinformation campaign about the so-called ‘TISZA tax package’.
Following a final court ruling, they have now been required to publish that the claim was false.

In a conversation earlier today, President Trump told me he was not concerned about Viktor Orban's loss in Hungary -- and that he likes incoming PM @magyarpeterMP

"I think the new man’s going to do a good job — he’s a good man."

He said he didn't know if it would have made a difference if he had gone to Hungary (instead of Vance) to campaign for Orban.

"He was behind substantially," Trump said. "I wasn’t that involved in this one. Viktor’s a good man, though."

He noted that incoming PM was formerly a member of Orban's party and has similar views on immgration:

"I think he’s going to be good."
