I enjoyed seeing the Reenactment of the Battle of Ridgeway. It's the 160th Anniversary. In 1866, an irregular Irish-American Army of Civil War veterans invaded Canada to force Britain to free Ireland. They won this battle, but lacked supplies, so returned to US. #battleofridgeway

On this day in 1944, the D-Day landings took place during World War 2. Canadian forces played a vital role. Over 14,000 Canadian soldiers took Juno Beach. Also, 110 Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) ships & 15 Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Squadrons took part in D-Day. #Dday #Dday2026
