@MartinSLewis If you've submitted a query via the original MSE car finance form, does that count as 'making a complaint' - or is there something else that needs to be done over and above that initial contact with/ submission to the finance companies please?
They served their country
They defended our streets
They stood without choice without hesitation
They deserve a life after service
The sad fact is they dont all get this opportunity
We hear the outcry of the public when one hits the news, but then often fades into the background all too quickly forgotten.
We make the difference. We open opportunities for many who stand faced with no alternative, but we can not do this alone
Right now, your support is the difference is between WDs life after service or potentially not ever leaving a working kennel
Stand with us today. Support. Be the vocie for the voiceless, and let's see them all have the opportunity of life after service

There are many changes afoot with Hero Paws right now and some tricky obstacles ahead, not that that has ever halted us before
The dogs and their families are ans have always been our priority and as more reach out we need to expand and our vision of retirement and rest bite becomes a need and must more and more every day
A location for all forces dogs and their handlers, for all retirees and their families
Education, progression, transition, safe
Why a retirement retreat is so important to us and so much blood sweat and tears are going into raising funds and awareness to open our home for ALL ex forces and services dogs.
They all deserve a chance post service, whether they serve 10 years or never meet the grade, we owe it to them to give them the best opportunity to transition from working kennels to a home family environment
Not all dogs will get even close to the opportunity, normally due to behaviour quirks exhibited in a stressful kennel environment and no chance to transition from the crazy working world to a family. That automatically fails them 🥺💔 not all forces have this view and many have their rehoming sections working hard to see all their dogs get a happy chance of retirement, but not all
A retirement retreat with no kennels, no bars, no stressful environment, no isolation. Surrounded by people who understand and have experienced the process and the need for stability and routine, will be their family for as long as they need
Please help us raise awareness to raise support and funds so no more ex forces and services dogs fall at the first hurdle for the opportunity of life after service
The celebrations aren't for everyone
Safeguard each other and all the confused souls out there. Please consider your neighbours and animals when using fireworks.
Fireworks can be overwhelming for people with sensory impairment such as those with neurological differences such as autism.
Animals can also find fireworks, particularly distressing.
They may look spectacular, but please remember that fireworks can be dangerous and are #NotFunForEveryone.
This time of year can bring about heightened anxiety and fear for vulnerable members of society, as well as our pets and wildlife.
ℹ️ Did you know, it's illegal to:
🎆 Set off fireworks before 6 pm after 11 pm (1 pm on #newyear)
🎆 Set off or throw fireworks in the street/other public places
🎆 Sell fireworks to under-18s
🎆 The illegal use or sale of fireworks can result in 6️⃣ months’ imprisonment or a £5K fine.
The safest way to enjoy #BonfireNight is to attend a registered, organised display.
Please be mindful

💥special homes needed💥
Every one of our homes is special and every retiree is supper special, but some of our dogs need a little something something.
Some dogs will struggle exiting the forces and need that hooman or hoomans that are willing to work that little extra more to help them adjust to our hooman world
We currently have a handful of fur pals waiting in forces kennels all over the UK and looking like they may be there for the winter season 🥺 fortunately they have amazing kennels staff that will care for them but for those who have had to all of a sudden stop work for varying reasons it's a truly hard time
We have a few that could most definitely do with a home and family sooner
We understand it's that time of year even that things slow ot also gets crazy busy and the dog welfare world takes a massive hit, but we are here for you 247 for this journey
With budgets being cut, we have an ever growing cue of amazing souls, so please let's find them homes
Homes and fosters needed
We don't always advertise our dogs that come up for rehome for varying reasons, but they are very much there. We match the applications to the dogs and work with what they need to thrive in throttle new lives
Our dogs range from 7 months old failed police dogs all the way to 13 year old military veterans, all needing a little something different
If you can offer a veteran a space in your family and are willing to work on guiding and nurturing them into their new civilian pet world, please reach out. [email protected], [email protected]
We will support you in any way you need as we do with all our retirees. Joining the family means you are never alone. We will always be here when you need
♥️🐾♥️
Pet mutilations, such as ear cropping, tail docking, and declawing, are still widespread in the UK despite such cruel procedures being illegal.
Why?
Import of animals that have already had these procedures is still legal. We will close that loophole.

Introducing our special little guy needing a special home
4 - 5 year old Iraq CWD Togo was found in July abandoned and shot several times.
Suffering from multiple ailments and human inflicted injuries
The charity @warpawsrescue @WarPawsIraq rescued him and have spent months fixing him physically and mentally, and now it's time to bring him to the UK where we can continue to heal his broken soul
The team at war paws are only asking for a home where he can be nurtured and protected to become the dog he truly deserves to be
Hero Paws and War Paws will work together to cover ongoing costs once in the UK and support with behaviour and training he will need going forward
He will need time and patience, peace, and a safe space
You will need an understanding of the breed and their basic knowledge of how they are trained, however he will be looking for a pet home and will not be used for any form of work to safe guard him and others from trauma he has suffered
Pet free for now and no children as he is still very unsure of the world
Willing to work with the charity's to give him the best opportunity for a happy ever after
If you feel you are able to help, please reach out

Can you offer the beautiful retired Royal Air Force Police Dog Reja a paw-ever home
Email
[email protected]
✍️ @royalairforcepolice @RAF__Police
Reja is a loving 9 year old Dutch Herder who loves long walks and playing with her kong.
She loves affection and cuddles. However, Reja can become over excited, so managing her arousal levels is important. Reja is very obedient on walks but can be reactive, which can cause lead biting, but this is easily managed.
Working closely with the Royal Air Force and their dogs and handlers we at Hero Paws can offer full support life after service, with veteran Army and RAF dog handlers on hand to support any aspects from training and welfare to advice and guidance
All military dogs entering retirement come with full support from Hero Paws on any level you may require from financial aid for regular treatment to accidents and illnesses, dental and ongoing therapy
There is no catch 22, no admin fee or membership, just one family supporting one another to get the nest retirement possible for you and your new kin
Life after service shouldn't be stressful. it should be adventures and memories made

If you think she's the paw-fect girl for you
Super Specail home needed for a failed Police Dog
Malinois, who's finding the stress a wee bit too much.
He's a fantastic boy with no vices to the outside hooman dog world
He will need a hooman willing to work with us on his anxiety and condition him to a clam home environment and new purpose
Breed knowledge
He's no aversion to small hoomans but will need to focus on him for now so small peeps would be too much
No dramas with other dogs, but as he is young, intact pals will b an emotional stressor, so chill and go lucky pals need apply
Please reach out if you can open your home to this little legend
