Can’t go to Philly without running the steps like Rocky Balboa.
Rocky has always been my favorite movie because it shows that with God, determination, sacrifice, and discipline, you can beat the odds.
Even when everything is stacked against you… you keep going.
That’s exactly how I feel about Chicago right now.
The odds may be tough.
The fight won’t be easy.
But we’re not backing down.
We’re going to rise. We’re going to fight. And we’re going to win.
That’s why I couldn’t come to Philadelphia without running the steps like Rocky.
Common Sense Carter—for the people, every time.
ALL HANDS ON DECK.
Let’s go, Chicago. We got this.

Yesterday I had to go show my support for Ready Freddy's Barbecue and Melvin Brooks from President's Lounge for all they do to help feed our community.
This is what real community leadership looks like, neighbors helping neighbors and local businesses stepping up to make a difference when people are in need.
Small businesses are the backbone of our neighborhoods, and we should support those who continue to give back and invest in the people they serve.
As Mayor, I will fight to support businesses, and creating opportunities for local business owners to grow and thrive. I will work to ensure that the people who live in our communities have the opportunity to own businesses, purchase property, and build generational wealth right here in their own neighborhoods.
Thank you to Ready Freddy's Barbecue and Melvin Brooks from President's Lounge for showing what it means to care about the community. Your commitment to serving others is making a real difference, and Chicago is stronger because of leaders like you.
Chicago is strongest when we come together, support one another, and invest in the people who have invested in us.
Chicagoans First. Always.

I’m currently at the City of Chicago Committee on Finance, where decisions are being made on how billions of taxpayer dollars are allocated across our city departments.
Mr. Blakemore had something to say.Every citizen who pays taxes in Chicago deserves clear, real-time transparency on how their money is being spent, not just reports after the fact or confusing budget language that most people never get to see.
This is public money. It belongs to the people. Whether it’s water, infrastructure, public safety, or city services, taxpayers should be able to follow every dollar from collection to spending.
I will continue to attend these meetings and make sure the voices of working Chicagoans are heard and respected in these budget decisions.

Hello, thank you all for the warm welcome in Humboldt Park. I truly appreciate the love and support. It was wonderful meeting so many members of the community.
I'll be back because I truly want to hear from the citizens living in the community. I want to hear your concerns, what you need, your ideas, and your suggestions for making your neighborhood stronger, safer, and more prosperous.
When I say that every community will have a seat at the table in my administration, I mean it. Every neighborhood matters. Every community deserves the resources, attention, and investment needed to thrive.
For too long, we have felt ignored, forgotten, and left out of the decision-making process. That ends with me. I will be out in the communities listening, learning, and working alongside you to address the issues that matter most.
I'm not playing with these corrupt elected officials. They messed with the wrong city, and people. It's the Chicago citizens first PERIOD.
Thank you for welcoming me into your community. I love y'all, ALL HANDS ON DECK.
Your future Mayor

Hello you're shirt should be arriving soon, let me know when you receive it.
No, it didn't. That's why we had more rain this time than last time. It raises serious questions about how water is being managed throughout the city. When NASCAR was here, many citizens believed steps were taken to protect downtown from flooding so other neighborhoods dealt with the impact.
Now we've had even more rain than when my basement flooded twice in one month, yet my basement didn't flood. This is exactly why we deserve answers about how stormwater is managed across Chicago. A few years ago, many West Side Citizens raised similar concerns. When it happened to them, which they still haven't received any help, like myself.
Chicago just went through a couple of storms, and once again we’re seeing the same issue across too many, neighborhoods downed trees and debris still sitting in our streets days later. Citizens are complaining, and upset .
I just took videos of the mess still sitting in our communities after this storm, blocks long, full of downed trees, debris, and blocked areas that have not been addressed.
Citizens deserve better response times and better coordination. This is not just about cleanup, it’s about safety, access for emergency vehicles, and basic city services working when people need them most.
The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation is responsible for tree removal in the public right-of-way and debris cleanup, and the city must ensure these crews are fully deployed and prioritized to the hardest-hit areas immediately after storms.
We are paying them a lot of money, and communities should not be left waiting while hazards remain on sidewalks, streets, and parkways.
I will be addressing this at the next meeting.
We need faster response, better planning, and real accountability so that after every storm, cleanup is immediate—not delayed.
Chicago deserves safe, clean, and fully functional neighborhoods, especially when citizens are already dealing with storm damage.

Chicago taxpayers are spending approximately $348 million a year on the Department of Streets and Sanitation, yet after major storms we still see blocks of downed trees, debris, and unaddressed hazards sitting in our neighborhoods for days and weeks. Citizens deserve to know where their tax dollars are going and why communities are being left in these conditions despite a budget of this size.
