Amazing day at the farm yesterday. Thank you to all involved in our field day. Students were amazing and had so much fun demonstrating critical thinking, perseverance, as well as PE skills. Hopefully everyone had as much fun as I did.

When a student acts inappropriately treat the root causes (i.e. lack of attention, power, control, competence, belonging, etc.). Don't treat the symptoms (i.e. yelling, hitting, throwing things, defiance, etc.). Treating the symptoms is only a temporary fix!

Administrators want teachers to be sensitive to the home life of kids. Well... admins need to be sensitive to the home life of their teachers. They deal with divorce, depression, family illness, and other stresses that can have a profound impact. They need compassion too.
