@AdamWTrades It all works, it just depends on the trader and which system fits them best. Some can trade with more discretion, others need more mechanical. Some prefer higher win rate, some prefer higher R. It all works, but not everything will work for everyone.
Hot take: limit orders for entry are a beginner trap.
A limit order is a prediction stacked on a prediction - you're guessing price hits your level, then guessing it moves your way after.
Enter market, off a reaction. Then predict the next move with momentum behind you.
Don't chase the perfect entry. Go with the flow.
Not the ending I wanted. 🫡
Clean $NQ short - but $ES was hardly moving and tagged resistance right after my entry showing divergence.
Two red days to close the month. But zoom out - June was green.
+$6,264.52 in total payouts from @ApexTradeFund & @TradingLucid
Bank it. Fix the leak. On to July.
Took a silly $NQ loss today. Setup was A-, execution was F.
Chased price ~30pts off the IFVG. Way too far, way too slow.
The model didn't fail. I did. Fixable.
On to tomorrow. 🫡
@DodgysDD You prefer trimming to fixed R on prop firm accounts? Trimming on prop firms doesn’t make much sense to me, especially if buffer hasn’t been built yet. A loss would be full sized whereas a win would be only 0.5R
That’s why I personally only target 1R and 1 trade per day
