To add to today’s drama, there is Dougnut!! Doughnut went for her spay(neuter) today.

She has been in foster placement for 6 WEEKS (you’ll see why iv highlighted this shortly)

We had a call from the vet. To our absolute shock and horror……Doughnut is pregnant.

The gestation period for a rabbit is 28-31 days or around 4 WEEKS!!!!! (See where I’m going with this?)

At first we said that this is impossible.

Then we spoke with her foster carer who decided to tell us that she decided to care for her sisters entire male bunny for a weekend while her sister went away.

To say we are angry is an understatement.
Yes accidents happen. But in this case it is pure irresponsibility. When you foster for carrot cottage, we do a home check, list any animals you may have and give you a contract to sign.

What makes this entire situation worse is that Doughnut was already under General anaesthetic when it was spotted and an ultrasound done.
The GA is likely to cause miscarriage.

Doughnut is now either going to have dead babies or alive babies we just don’t know. We are heartbroken for her. 😢😢😢😪🥰🥰

BREAKING: The C130 Hercules will retire at the end of next year after 85yrs in service. The ageing jet has had problems with the sparkplugs in its 4x 1.6ltr turbo diesel engines over the last few years which has led to many MOT fails.
