Every few years EH come under pressure to “fix the problem” and every few years it’s new paint job and a rebrand……but it’s the same people and the same philosophy.
The “pyramid” system in place just doesn’t work.

@MemEnglandhokey One of those “can’t see the whole picture if you’re standing in it” problems I reckon. Not enough external pressure and scrutiny to apply pressure, and those within probably think it’s “part of the journey”

@MemEnglandhokey Think the only reason England women (and arguably the men) have competed in recent years is purely because of their athleticism….which every other hockey playing nation has now caught up with and added actual ability and tactics…..

@FowerakerE Case in point; Kingston Upon Hull M1s are facing being relegated from 9th place today if results don’t go their way…..in the national conference north, 2 leagues above them!
Potentially 6/12 teams change in YNE Division 1 if that happens. Still can’t quite believe it….

@silshockeynews @MemEnglandhokey Strange one that……“up north” all of our pitches freeze and are rendered unplayable through December and January. We haven’t 3 rearranged games to fit in before the end of January, and we haven’t had a training session since the first week of December.

@silshockeynews @MemEnglandhokey Interesting take away that….if that’s truly the case I wonder what @YNEHockeyOffcls think of the situation? Could be bold and pilot something radical up north that removes the headaches of coordinating rearranged and cancelled fixtures…?

@silshockeynews @MemEnglandhokey So why is it that we’re told that England hockey require all the fixtures to be completed by a certain date?
Today there are 2 full areas (YNE and NW) that have, as far as I’m aware, no fixtures being played due to weather that happens every year.
