A European; quite content with the status quo until it was forced from the hands of the silent majority. Shining the light outside of identity politics.
@SageDespatches You do have an unconscious bias. The clue is in the title; you are completely unaware. Likely as you block anyone with a different perspective to you and have been doing.
Roll on a few years and you’re talking to your own man made gallery.
A clear supremacist mindset.
@News_Letter JD is not in control of his party, nor never was. Unionism is in a complete mess and the responsibility lies only with him and of course, Arlene.
The day JD lined up behind the Pied Piper Allister and his merry band of unelected bloggers - was the day his leadership ended.
@Choyaa13@SluggerOToole The DUP are a spent force in that respect so whether they do or not makes little or no difference at this juncture.
I certainly hope the UUP do. Doug has some great people in his ranks and he’s certainly not afraid to embrace the change that’s required.
@Choyaa13@SluggerOToole I do believe the DUP were originally on board with the bigger picture (and latterly the UUP) until they were lundified into submission by the usual darker, unelected, Loyalist grim reapers.
The answer to the constitutional question will be decided by economics.
2/2
@Choyaa13@SluggerOToole I never interpreted the NIP as a threat to the Union, rather a tool that would transform NI into the greatest economic powerhouse of these islands.
I’m not sure Unionism understands this and the impact it will undoubtedly have. 1/2
@JoelKeysNI You have a maturity way beyond your years, Joel, both politically and otherwise. Future MLA? Yes, I hope so. I’m not sure there’s a party worthy of your efforts from any side of the bitter divide. Maybe Alliance or Independent? Either way, you’ll go far.
Fair play to you.
@JoelKeysNI You’ll never understand the value in this comment until you’re in a situation where you could have, or should have used this knowledge to save someone’s life! Great idea.
@Choyaa13 I’ve not doubt DT sacrificed his career for the greater good and was fully aware of it at the time. It’s a pity the public recognition of this sacrifice came too late for him.
@Choyaa13@dmcbfs@irish_news I do believe it should be compulsory. Should one wish to turn up and spoil their vote then that is still their right.
It would also give a better indication of those who are clearly frustrated with the status quo, versus those who simply can't be arsed.
@SJAMcBride Interesting @SJAMcBride, but you didn’t touch on the £200K apartments in a modern, progressive, vibrant city, getting hosed down rather than extinguishing the illegal pyre? Have we lost sight of the lunacy? Or has the lunacy become normality? This really is Neanderthal stuff. 🤨
