The City of San Diego and the Port of San Diego must urgently address the serious safety hazard at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Harbor Drive. During busy events and weekends, trains often stop at this location for up to 30 minutes, creating dangerous conditions for pedestrians.
As shown in the video, an elderly man is forced to jump down, nearly injuring himself—this is the same spot where a young woman tragically lost her life last year. Immediate action is needed. Either the train tracks must be routed underground, or a second pedestrian bridge must be constructed without delay.

A homeless man is in critical condition following a hit-and-run accident in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter late Thursday night. Around 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of 5th Avenue and G Street, a black sedan was seen speeding eastbound on G Street when it struck the man as he pushed a shopping cart. The driver fled the scene and has not yet been identified.
In a disturbing twist, a woman was caught allegedly trying to steal medication from the victim’s belongings while he lay injured. She was swiftly taken into custody by police.

After bullying and harrsing innocent people SDPD got a crowd angry then rowdy and a riot nearly broke out. I don’t see fights on nights the cops aren’t around leading me to believe they are causing these situations to happen. #sdpd

@Jeff4water Lock this criminal up and throw away the keys. California does not want your sketchy weather modification program. Lets make life very difficult for this guy and his family and drive him out of town.
