The numbers may be down from their peak, but they're still far above historic norms, and now the prime minister is signalling they could start climbing again.

Something that needs to change in Canada:
If you come to OUR country, and do not assimilate to OUR laws, you get deported.
Do not pass go, do not collect any sympathy.
It's that simple.
If we broke the law in India, or any other country for that matter, they would without hesitation, kick our asses out. But only after a lengthy jail term.
Canada has become weak on criminals under this govt. It allows foreigners to break OUR laws. Some of them heinous beyond words, and actually fight to keep them IN CANADA so they can reoffend again. 🤯
All in the name of THEIR CULTURE. News flash foreigners....YOUR CULTURE is in YOUR COUNTRY. You left said country to this one. IF you want YOUR CULTURE, go home. You're not in Kansas any more. 😉
When does OUR CULTURE matter?
It’s just been reported by the Globe and Mail that Carney wants to work toward connecting “next-generation payment systems to facilitate faster, lower-cost and more seamless cross-border transactions” which is claimed will “make it easier for Canadians and Europeans to conduct business, invest and transfer funds internationally”
Both Canada and the EU said that U.S. influence over the existing payment systems is a risk due to Trump.
Carney is sinking our relationship on purpose with the U.S.
Anyone who is relying on that man to get a deal in order to save their business or company better be prepared to lose everything.
Carney has big plans for Canada, non of which anyone voted for.
It all makes sense now:
-Why Carney is allowing the pipeline
-Why he suddenly cares about the ocean
-Why he appointed his wife as ocean Envoy
Building this Pacific Link pipeline is just an excuse to bring in the carbon credit market and he's leveraging the ocean to do it.
So, the motally bankrupt @liberal_party & beta @MarkJCarney are hinting of reducing OAS payments to Canadians while at the same time, borrowing nearly a billion dollars to
... wait for it... fund Ukrainians pension plan.
Canada has morphed into a retard colony ffs!
LNG Canada (entirely owned by foreign investors) confirmed they will use Chinese steel to build the expansion Mark Carney was so giddy to announce.
Not Canadian steel.., while Canadian steel factories shut down… and Canadians lose their jobs…
Elbows Up though!
We won?
* not one oil company has signed on
* not one dollar of private investment
* no route finalized
* Indian bands say they’ll sue
* Enron-style carbon payments
* tied to $30B in carbon capture taxes
Who on earth do you work for these days?
I’ve been warning the federal government about the security risks of importing Chinese-made electric vehicles for months.
Leading European intelligence agencies are now ringing the alarm bells. It’s time for the federal government to take these concerns seriously.
David Eby announced today that he's promising cuts to the gas tax if he wins the election.
For the record, he has a majority government, and could've implemented this last week if he wanted to.
He didn't do that because he's lying, just like he lied about the tax cuts in this video that he never implemented.
The tanker ban is a national embarrassment:
1. It doesn’t prevent tanker traffic.
- It is a *loading* ban against Alberta oil in Kitimat. American tankers traverse the same waters. The ban only limits Canadian global market access and makes us more dependent on the USA.
2. It’s self defeating for shipping.
- Canada is the only energy economy in the world that declares itself unfit to navigate its own coastal waters. No nation - including environmentally focused Australia, Norway and the USA do this to themselves.
3. It’s green politics not science.
Canada has the technological, ecological, and operational capabilities to ship energy off the north coast. C-48 is a vestige of a decade of performative green alarmism and economic decline.
Bad policies like this make everything Canada tries to do cost more and take longer.
And does nothing for the planet.
The sooner we back Canadian ports and ships to do what every other seafaring nation does to trade globally, the better.
Canadian lives will be lost due to the Trade War that is now in full effect with the US.
Canada has now been hit with a 100% tariff on all pharmaceuticals.
Everyone knows we face higher costs for many prescription drugs than other countries and this will drive it up even more.
With elderly people ALREADY having to chose between paying rent, buying food, they now have to add getting their medication to said list.
Politicians should NEVER be allowed to do this and use people's well being and health as a pawn for trade talks or pressure.
Canada:
* LNG Canada steel modules made in China.
* Woodfibre LNG steel modules made in China.
* BC Ferries made in China.
* Carbon/alloy steel wire dumping from China.
* Steel racks dumping from China.
* Mark Carney campaigned on increasing taxes on our steel industry.
Also Canada:
Gosh, why is our steel industry collapsing and uncompetetive??
🤦🏼♂️
🚨 MAJOR BREAKING -
What Ontario inspectors found at 3 “career college” locations:
$219 million in OSAP, for 14,800 "students"
Every public college in Ontario combined got $385 million.
One student finished an entire course in a day, final exam in 6 minutes.
One login was used from 211 different IP addresses.
Interviewed students couldn't name their school, program, or speak English.
Three storefronts pulled over half of what every public college got.
Who signed off on this?
Who is getting fired?
Ontario taxpayers just got scammed.
At the very moment Carney Liberals failed to save Stelco jobs, they allow Beijing to dump steel into one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Canada. Carney is choosing China over our workers. The fact that the steel needed is not made in Canada is another failure of the Carney Liberals to create the environment for steelmaking here at home.
We must build big with Canadian steel by ending the industrial carbon tax, and tackling steel dumping from trade abusers.
It’s important to recognize that the government does not have any money of its own. It can only pay for its exorbitant spending sprees through borrowing and taxation. Taxes are an obvious transfer of wealth from people to government, but another route that is not so evident, but just as effective is through inflation.
When our central bank, the Bank of Canada, engages in what’s called quantitative easing, whereby the Bank creates money to purchase government debt in the form of bonds, the economy gets flooded with cash and the prices of goods balloon and inflate. This new, abundant and cheap money incentivises more borrowing and more spending, which the government rakes backthrough taxation over time.
The government is expropriating your wealth through inflation. With the virtual printing of money, the central bank is increasing the size of government and simultaneously reducing the value of your dollar, hence the appropriate term has been coined to describe this phenomenon, inflation tax.
When the Bank artificially creates more money (meaning it wasn’t earned through a profit generating mechanism), it drives up the price of goods because the natural balance of supply and demand is thrown off. Instead of prices in the free market being determined by the flow and exchange of real money in the economy, we have extra dollars going after the same or fewer goods, thereby artificially increasing their value and driving up the price. The effect is that your dollar is worth less.
This practice of printing money to finance the government’s debt and increasing the cost of goods benefits the highest income earners and asset holders in the country, but severely harms the middle and lower income wage earners who will have a harder time making their limited amount of dollars stretch to pay for the ever increasing cost of essential goods. A single mom on a $35,000 salary will find it more difficult to fill up her grocery cart and buy clothes for her kids. A senior couple on a fixed income will have the burden of making their dollars cover the cost of basic necessities, which are going up in price because of inflation.
The game has been rigged and the government will be the player leaving the table with all of the chips.
If the Bank of Canada were to limit this cycle of creating cheap cash and buying the government’s debt, the result would be a government that is forced to live within its means.
Reining in fiscal spending and deescalating quantitative easing would necessitate limited government. This of course is a horrible restraint for any political party that only attains or maintains power when people are reliant on government programs and handouts. It’s a sick cycle of fiscal irresponsibility for the purpose of political advantage, and it is putting our economic future in serious jeopardy.
While the private sector is shrinking rapidly, the government is engorging itself. This is entirely unsustainable, but again, it is incredibly beneficial to a political party, which succeeds only when Canadians are dependent upon government.
You see, doling out money is a leader’s dream. It turns the people’s affections towards them, it positions them as a hero and a caretaker, but responsible leaders restrain themselves from utilizing this enticing tool too much because they know that in the long run, it is incredibly destructive for the people and the country.
We need a responsible leader at the helm who will resist the temptation to be seen as a gift-giving Santa Clause (with a horrible credit score). Responsible governance needs to be placed back on the table with a long-term vision and plan for this country’s economic future and prosperity for Canadians.
