I was there, sat in the home end, next to a Dad and his young lad who was at his first game, they left after half an hour, along with hundreds of others. I unfortunately couldn’t celebrate any of the goals for fear of being unalived. I sat with my coat pulled over my face smiling
Another unreal Ryder cup, home advantage once again playing a huge factor. Some woeful decisions made by the USA team in terms of preparation which ultimately cost them. JR, Rory & Viktor stepping up ridiculously well as the big players in the team, Beth Page Black gonna be tough
@fnf2017@LouStagner i would expect every scratch golfer, regardless of the course they arrive/play at will be trying to shoot “par” not “shot adjusted par” or “course rating par”. Using the above example, i bet the player in question would likely struggle to maintain 0’hcp at an easier rated course
@azramsfan@ianjmooney@LouStagner What we have found in our local area is that the course ratings seem to be off, so you can have lower rated course based on length and stimp on greens etc,but 9 holes of the course play into a standard 25mph prevailing wind.
@azramsfan@ianjmooney@LouStagner Average score over 20 rounds, 78.2 which is +3.4 above course rating. 3 rounds from 20 of level/under to course rating, a combined +123 and +83 respectively to actual par and course rating over 20 rounds, Struggling to make this person a scratch golfer.
336 yard par 4, wind off the right, and Gordon Sargent pitches the green with ease. The amateurs are taking the Old Course to bits in the Walker Cup. The future of the game really is all about speed and when the wind lays down, classic courses are defenceless!
@GDSRawlinson@iomballer Which Wolves player was “flying”, he’s literally moved a yard forward and jumped to head the ball, if the keeper is leaving his line this far, he has to get it right and unfortunately he missed the ball by about half an hour.
Listen, I’m no expert, but running 15 yards and sticking it on someone is ordinarily a foul, or perhaps not in injury time at Old Trafford. Boys on VAR off to a flyer.
@GDSRawlinson@iomballer It’s reasonable to assume that running 15 yards completely and wiping your opponent out (regardless of the ball) is a foul anywhere on the pitch, and a card, except for, and i’ll say it again, Old Trafford in injury time. The new keeper has Barthez tendencies.
