🗞️Signing a new right back is a priority for Everton this Summer.
Everton plan to trigger their option to extend Mykolenko’s contract by a year with talks expected over a longer deal. Cover at Left Back will almost certainly be sought this Summer

Just had a little peek at some numbers this morning thinking about why Everton look so knackered.
So they are bottom for players used (22) and subs made (123) in the Premier League this season #EFC
Vitaly Mykolenko is a perfectly fine LB & one of the best defending FBs in the league. Signed him at 22 & now approaching his peak years. Never understood why people give him such a hard time. He could be better attacking but the issue is we have 2 FBs who aren’t great at that.
Now this is what makes me mad about idiotic fans. An incorrect decision from years ago means every single decision after has to benefit their team from there on out. Also just because a wrong decision was made then, doesn’t mean the right one was tonight.
Dope.
Expecting Arsenal fans to care about the Saliba penalty incident when we were all shouted down for claiming this Gabriel Jesus one is a bit silly
Yes, we probably got lucky today, but the same decision cost us heavily before
New: Vitaliy Mykolenko has emerged as a target for Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig.
Everton are in talks with 26y/o over a new deal, with current contract expiring next summer.
One to keep an eye on. #EFC

9 years ago today, Arsenal lost their first game in 4 months, as they lost 2-1 away at Everton; missing out on the chance to go top of the Premier League.
Unfortunately, this one defeat spiralled into a 5 year decline, as Arsenal never recovered & narrowly finished outside of the top 4 for the first time in 21 years.
Arsenal didn’t qualify for the Champions League for another 6 years during which, had 4 different managers & finished as low as 8th.
I see Mykolenko is now the whipping boy for some. Look, you cannot blame a player for not performing if he is put into a role he won't be successful in. It's not his fault Moyes pushed him up high today. He's always been a limited player, but he doesn't deserve anyone's wrath.
