Here's a thing
"Asset rich but cash poor"
was a term used a lot yesterday referencing the Farmer's demo against inheritance tax.
Reminded me it's also used to describe elderly home owners, whose families are obliged to sell the family home to pay for the care of ageing parents.
When the poorest families were hit by the budget, he crossed the Atlantic to back it.
When rich land owners have to pay the same tax as others, he suddenly finds himself worrying how families will cope.
Tells you all you need to know about Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
Labour source: "For someone who’s not doing it to avoid inheritance tax, he seems to have an intimate knowledge of the next step he’s going to take to avoid inheritance tax."
@themerseytiger Fully agree. I think letting them go in the first place was a big mistake, unless both wanted to leave anyway. Also losing and not replacing Max Allen has affected us big time.
So far we’ve seen:
- Labour councillor celebrate community org being blocked from improving derelict land
- Labour cllr call residents trolls & block them for asking legitimate questions
- Labour cllr fail to follow due process & redirect concerns to community
A changed party?
An empty plot of land that’s been desolate and run down for years, could be transformed into something amazing brining value to the area and regenerating the park and keeping community acsess to it - win, win, win @liamrobinson24@IanByrneMP make it happen!
A community owned football ground and properly maintained Rathbone Park that’s an asset for generations across the wider Edge Lane area.
