Three of the 'animal coffins' were uncovered in a sacred cache at #Naukratis, along numerous finds, including 100 other similar containers topped with lizards, snakes and eels figures, but also this lovely #Egyptian mongoose 'mummy case' #Animal#mummies
Taking a look inside ancient Egyptian animal coffins... the @britishmuseum used neutrons at ISIS to look inside objects that were 1500 years old.
