Three relationship rules I learned:
1. Stop competing with each other. Their success is your success and yours is theirs. That's why you are a team.
2. There is no equality in a marriage, only service. You play your role for the season you're in and you play it well. When the role changes tomorrow, you give that one your best too. Some seasons its 90:10, other times 30:70. The split isn't the point.
3. If you want to go the distance, you have to keep sleeping together. Every problem you have today, you had at the beginning. You forgave back then because you were still reaching for each other. And the truth is it shouldn’t depend on your mood. There's a reason the Bible calls it cleaving together as one.
