Things have finally started to settle down. Gonna start doing Twitter more. Name is Dan and I’m an underemployed historian tweeting about whales, water, and life in Oswego on the shores of Lake Ontario, occasionally #BlueJays baseball.

@EvanPSullivan Broadening to early America I think Christine Delucia’s Memory Lands handles the complexities of memory in a settler-colonial state excellently. I’d also recommend the 4 part “history under siege” radio program from the ABC. Stay qualified.
Old school American exceptionalism in reporters whose job it is to cover a sport where the best player is Japanese and the fastest growing demographic is Latino is wild to me.
I’m a Blue Jays fan as much as anyone but you’re fooling yourself if you don’t think the Canadian issue is not a factor in signing top level free agents. It may not be the money or the culture but it damn well is the baseball media that make one reconsider. It’s a damn shame.
I don’t hate Yankees or Dodger fans but boy am I excited to talk crap about every loss this season just because their fan bases are obnoxious beyond belief.
@JoezMcfLy You been posting as if it was ridiculous to think he’d even come to Toronto. It was erroneous and that’s cool I’ll eat that but I’d argue the whole let’s laugh at Jays fans for being excited about their front office attempting big moves is bad for the game overall. All love pop!
