In 2012, a 23-year-old linebacker walked through the Jets facility for the first time. In 2013, a 23-year-old QB joined him. They thought they’d be Jets forever, from start to finish. That didn’t happen.

Now, improbably, Demario Davis and Geno Smith are back, a decade after they left — and re-joining a Jets team stuck in time.

These two have only gotten better with time — and distance. But now they’re back to try to be the ones to get the Jets back on track.

There were several within the #Jets building who preferred a complete fresh start at offensive coordinator. Aaron Glenn, originally, wanted Engstrand to remain on staff.

After multiple discussions, today, they made the decision to move on.

The Jets have been searching for someone to add to their staff who would have called plays -- not Engstrand.

The New York #Jets CANCELLED their invitation to a super fan and season ticketholder, Ashley, who planned to be part of the hundred-thousand-dollar field goal challenge in honor of her late father.

The team said she could not participate in the competition because she is a high school soccer coach — even though she had already informed them she played soccer in college — and then changed their mind.

“This is life-changing money for me. I was confident I could have made it,” Ashley, a school math teacher, told the NY Post.

Ashley also revealed that she attends games to honor her late father‘s memory.
