@coachdeejenkins@cards_football Not all of them. They also recruit freak athletes that can help win games but may also have a questionable background and character because they’re willing to take the risk.
@C_3C_3 1st team all-state and ODP Regional selection back in 1980’s…coached high school and travel soccer, played amateur. Loved the offensive freedom to create against Paraguay. Past teams have played too conservatively and lacking confidence…played not to lose instead of to win.
After a good chat with new Cooper Football Head Coach Adam Begley, I’ve accepted and appreciate the opportunity to return to Cooper as a part-time assistant coach. Go Jags!
Maybe parent better so a kid doesn’t assault someone else first. If someone physically assaults my kid they have every right to defend themselves, because what if they don’t and end up seriously hurt by being passive? Nope. My kid wouldn’t be the problem, the problem occurred before the response was necessary.
Agree that some kids are their own worst enemy and don’t help themselves. But, another problem is, there often isn’t really a “line”. Some kids will keep jumping in front of others, then when called out for it they act like an entitled ass. Coaches need to enforce the line concept for reps more and such situations would be avoided.
