Pitched a complete game shutout with 18ks. Completely dominated with the low 80s fastball and mixing in a mid 60s curveball and a low 70s changeup. Was able to use all pitches effectively for strikes and whiffs.

Belgium has been granted the right to appeal against FIFA’s decision to suspend the one-game ban handed to USMNT star Folarin Balogun, less than 24 hours before the team’s round of 16 match vs. the United States, per The Athletic.
The Belgian federation said it was “astonished” by FIFA’s decision to suspend the ban for a period of one year and the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) responded that the move was in “direct contradiction” of the competition regulations and said it is exploring “all potential options.”
BREAKING: FIFA has cleared the way for U.S. star Folarin Balogun to play in the USA's round of 16 match vs Belgium on Monday, confirmed by FOX Sports' @ByDougMcIntyre and @MelissaMOrtiz

The Mets once had aspirations of being the East Coast Dodgers, but after Juan Soto was named the lone All Star Saturday, you have to wonder if they actually created East Coast Mike Trout.

The Mets and Christopher Morel are in agreement on a minor-league deal, league sources tell The Athletic. The deal contains multiple opt outs for Morel, who will report to Triple-A Syracuse.
Marcus Semien’s hip flexor strain was judged a Grade 3. He tried to play until it severely limited his movement. It will be 4 to 6 weeks minimum. Tyrone Taylor’s was grade 1 1/2 to 2 and he missed 28 days. #mets
David Stearns on the return if the return of Francisco Lindor serves as a runway for the Mets:
"We're at the point of the season where there's a sense of urgency. We also have to start playing better baseball. Francisco is a big part of that and he can help us."
To assume the Mets will be buyers or let alone make lateral moves is reckless and does not fit Harvard boys little abacus.
Just sell the dead weight for vending machines and move on.
Pure speculation, but worth exploring for the Mets and Giants: A deal involving Willy Adames and Marcus Semien. The Giants would have to eat a good chunk of money in Adames's deal to make it happen, but Adames could play third, Bichette could move to second, and Semien would return to the Bay Area. SF has signaled a willingness to listen to offers for Adames, Chapman, Devers.
