I went from…

→ Hard-working
Fitness changed my life.
Here are 30 tips that helped me get where I am today:
1. Stop drinking alcohol if you want to make the most progress.
2. Develop a daily routine. Wake up and go to bed at similar times every day.
3. You never need to be in the gym for more than 2 hours. 1-1.5 hours is plenty.
4. To maximize growth, take 2-3 minute rests between sets.
5. Train with intensity. Don’t leave any repetitions in the tank.
6. Sleep 7-9 hours every night.
7. Get 8,000+ steps in daily.
8. Surround yourself with good people.
9. Form/technique > Weight. Don’t ego lift!
10. Many different ways to get in cardio (e.g., swimming, biking, basketball, running).
11. Take 5g of creatine monohydrate daily.
12. Yoga every morning. Helps prevent injury, increase flexibility, and enhance mental clarity.
13. Be patient, results don’t happen overnight.
14. Don’t avoid carbohydrates. You need them to grow (e.g., rice, pasta, lentils, potatoes).
15. Track your workouts. Progressive overload is key.
16. Don’t compare yourself to others. It’s you vs. you.
17. Take progress pictures to see your weak points and how much you’ve progressed.
18. Buy cheap food in bulk from wholesale retailers like Costco.
19. Eat 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight daily.
20. Keep up with your hobbies and passions. Don’t make working out and fitness take over your life.
21. Don't be afraid of judgment. Nobody cares about what you’re doing in the gym.
22. Stay hydrated. Drink 60-80 ounces of water daily.
23. Live an active lifestyle. Working out shouldn’t be the only active thing in your routine.
24. Eggs, chicken, beef, and fish are essential proteins.
25. Stay away from soda, candy, or fried food.
26. Be consistent. Establish a designated time to workout.
27. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Rich in necessary vitamins and minerals.
28. Strength training 4-5 times a week is sufficient. Make sure to implement rest days.
29. Find a workout partner who has similar goals and aspirations.
30. Make working out fun. It shouldn’t feel like a job!

The first years of working out are amazing.
You start to see the newbie gains and everything seems to fall into place.
Once you dive further into your fitness journey there tend to be plateaus and obstacles.
Don’t give up
Don’t get stuck
Keep on pushing.
→ Eat clean
→ 8,000 steps
→ Track calories
→ Sleep 7-8 hours
→ Progressive overload
Although progress may slow down, your mindset should never.
“I’m getting the membership next month”
“I’m fixing my sleep schedule next week”
“I’m starting to meal prep tomorrow”
There’s never going to be a perfect time to start your fitness journey.
Enough with the lame excuses and setbacks.
The best time to start is NOW!
How do you work 40 hours, hit the gym 4-5 times a week, post on X, go to school, and play club golf?
Time management.
Managing your time wisely leads to great possibilities.
