@irishloubega literally me

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@Jara_Films @SonOfSheev @fionadourif lol it’s the other way around, he’s entertaining me

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif Do you even know what the word studio means? Can you point me in the direction of the A24 studio lot?

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif lmao we went from “A24 is a major studio” to “they’re the biggest indie”. You lose. Thanks for playing.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif Lmfao. You just can’t help yourself, can you? Let me give you some examples of major studios and their valuations: Disney is worth $185 billion. Sony is worth $120 billion. Universal: $110 billion. Those are major studios. A24 is worth….$3.5 billion. Thanks for playing, retard.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif A24 is not a “major studio” either, and the production company I worked for is bigger than A24 in terms of cumulative box office business. But I love how committed you are to pretending to know what you’re talking about. Can’t wait for the next one.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif For instance, my former boss (a film producer) often cuts deals with first-time screenwriters by paying them a very low upfront payment, plus points on the back end, so if the movie is successful, they can share in the profits. This is extremely common.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif What are you talking about? Specify what is not a common practice, because literally every movie that ever gets released has people making money on the back end, and no, they aren’t all “A-listers”. Many unknowns take points on the backend in lieu of payment upfront.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif lmfao i don’t know why this is such a point of contention for you but the phrase “points on the back end” is a very common phrase in the film industry.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif how many times are you going to just assume shit and be completely wrong?

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif They talk about receiving points on the back end.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif It’s a pretty big part of the movie.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@SonOfSheev @Jara_Films @fionadourif So you didn’t see the movie then?

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@ronsonjohnson69 @captgouda24 lmfao “late stage capitalism” grown ass man with the sociological sophistication of a 14 year old girl.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@ronsonjohnson69 @captgouda24 What a bullshit soulless world, though. Guy just has a simple dream and everyone is telling him to do what the market wants. And they’re not wrong, that’s the worst part of it. Our country is doomed.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@sunsequel2 @AmericanGwyn I know quite a bit about his life, he absolutely was the type of person to embellish, and his own brother said he was “grossly exaggerating”.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@Jarlaplex @CSandbatch While Hamlet is not a clinical narcissist, there is always a kind of “narcissism” to people who are suffering, where they are consumed by their own suffering to such a degree that they are only focused on themselves and their pain. I’m sure we’ve all been there.

[Dante Halloran @dantehalloran]

@XsUNObserver @CSandbatch He was clearly more concerned with making it “his” than delivering a good performance.
