Here are three tips if you’re building an Edtech startup 👇
🚫 Edtech is not a product category or market, it’s a way of thinking. It’s a realisation that it can be possible to increases people’s access to opportunities via the marriage of ever-evolving technology & educational methods, even though it may be a long and winding road!
👎 Find the value in being told, “No!” - every rejection is a chance to improve your product or your approach, and you’ll need resilience more than anything in the startup world (aside from maybe a great product idea!)
😱 Get over your fear of failure - it’s far better to make a mistake you can learn from than to have done nothing at all. If you’re not scared of making mistakes, you’re going to change the world (let’s hope for the better!).
This was such an honour to work alongside @Bett_show as a contributor to their ‘Better Together’ series in the run up to Bett UK at ExCeL London in Jan 2025 - there are more LinkyThinks x Bett Global collabs on their way!

What’s your favourite way to inspire creative writing?
Here’s 5 of ours:
1. Treasure Hunt: Go outside, collect objects and create a vocabulary treasure hunt to describe the world around you. 🔎
2. Immersive Sounds: Play ambient sounds relevant to the writing topic. Let students close their eyes, immerse themselves in the environment and discuss the sounds and the emotions they provoke. 🎶
3. Sensory Exploration: Collect various items and blindfold students. Have them guess the items by describing their smell, feel or even taste. 👃
4. Visual Prompts: Use intriguing images, short videos or mysterious objects as a visual stimulus to encourage discussion and questioning. 🏞️
5. Drama: Have students step into the roles of characters and act out scenes. Explore how they would walk, talk and act in different settings. 🎭
Use any new vocabulary and ideas generated from these activities in writing.

Who says education has to be confined to four walls?
🌸🌱No matter the weather, don’t be afraid to transport your learning environment to the outdoors. And that’s just what we did at Glendower Preparatory School.
During our LinkyThinks Vocabulary Treasure Hunt, Year 5 explored their playground through new vocabulary. They then put their skills into practice in our LinkyThinks Creative Writing Session.
Not forgetting the teachers…Thanks to our friends from New Zealand, teachers took part in a Sound Beginnings CPD session focussing on the importance of oral language and effective communication.
