Truth is my tweet about Yaps Threshold should have remained in my drafts and never been out.

Well, is all the buzz about $LINEA's 72 billion total supply really worth your worry? Let's dive in and uncover the truth.

They've revealed a total supply of 72 billion, with an initial 15.8 billion circulating at launch.

From this, 10%, a hefty 7.2 billion, is allocated for an airdrop with no vesting period.

Of this airdrop, a substantial 9% (6.48 billion) targets active users, likely benefiting LXP holders and those engaged on-chain.

What about LXP-L holders? The allocation will come from the 75% ecosystem fund, which will be announced separately.

With that said, the snapshot has already been taken and the Sybil filter applied multiple times. There may be minimum eligibility criteria for the airdrop, including a minimum LXP holding.

There are 822k wallets holding LXP that have passed POH; the rest may not even be eligible.

Now, with the additional threshold and criteria, consider 1,000 LXP as the minimum requirement for eligibility.

156k wallets will be cut off, leaving 666k addresses eligible.

Arbitrum dropped 11.67% to 625k wallets, which is very similar to the current state of Linea.

Psychologically, the market tends to overreact, assuming a token is cheap simply because of its high supply. This is not the case.

For instance, Token A has a 1B token supply, and you receive an allocation of 1000 tokens. When it launches at $1B FDV, this allocation will be worth $1000.

Similarly, with $LINEA, you receive an allocation of 15,000 tokens. Launching at a $5B FDV, the price per token will be $0.069, giving you a total of $1,035.

So what matters is how much token you get in the airdrop and FDV at launch.

Anyway, they're also buying Linea and burning it with 80% of the fees collected in ETH.

That being said, don't worry too much or feel sidelined. There won't be significant sell pressure from any VCs or insiders at TGE, so let's wait for the checker now.
