Question: Was anything learned?
Answer: No! 😔
The culture of a school is created by everyone in the school. Walk in a school and see how the front office staff talks and interacts or the staff /teachers in the hallway. Yes the admin influences it but everyone is ultimately responsible for a positive school culture.
I just don’t know if I will get over this new things that my students do, since the pandemic started, where I give instructions for what they should do, tell them to do it, and then they. Just. Don’t. They just sit there until I individually prompt them.
There's still time to register! We will decorate cookies, make holiday crafts, and watch a holiday movie! The kids will have a great time while you check items off your holiday shopping list! @ozarkhsdance@ozarkhstigers@OzarkTigers
In 1970-71, education was the most popular field for U.S. undergraduates. Colleges issued 176,307 bachelor’s degrees in education that year, or 21% of all degrees conferred.
In 2019-20, less than 4% of bachelor degrees were in education.
From 21% to < 4%!!
Think about that. 🤔
Nothing is more tiring than full-time classroom teaching, shame this is the thing that is most easily forgotten and most often overlooked by many inside and outside of education.
Teacher Leaders are so underrated.
The teachers that choose to be career teachers, the teachers that continue to serve students each and every day, the ones that stay in the trenches.
Thank you.
Administrators, remember your veteran teachers probably have more expertise and experience than the people trying to create and sell new curriculum and initiatives to your district. Seek their input first.
