💥#TelAviv tonight: Thousands of Israelis are back on the streets tonight, a day after the Israeli strike on Iran, warning against regional escalation and demanding an immediate ceasefire-hostage deal in Gaza and an end to war.
My mother is being referred to as the last missing woman of the October 7th massacre. In truth, whilst we knew that she and my father were both gone, we buried and mourned them, perhaps this is a reminder of how deep the scars of that day are. It’s taken almost exactly 10 months to the day for her death to be confirmed.
And just as our family said in October, 10 months on, we continue to mourn but we do not seek revenge.
My siblings and I have used all the energy we have to ensure my parents’ death is not in vain. They did not die for this war. They died for peace.
Seeing my mothers face in the headlines is a reminder of how much we lost, but I have no doubt in my heart that she would be so proud of the journey my family are on - with Israeli and Palestinian partners - to create a path to peace, through hope and reconciliation.
NOW IN TLV: While the risk of an escalation in the region looks imminent and the tension is palpable, we are here.
We are calling for an end to the war and for a deal that will bring our loved ones back home.
We have reached the moment of truth.
Everyone understands that Netanyahu is blocking the deal, and it is the duty of everyone involved in the negotiation process to address the public immediately and tell us the truth.
Because we will never give up.
Hostage deal now.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s presentation in the House Chamber today was by far the worst presentation of any foreign dignitary invited and honored with the privilege of addressing the Congress of the United States.
Many of us who love Israel spent time today listening to Israeli citizens whose families have suffered in the wake of the October 7th Hamas terror attack and kidnappings.
These families are asking for a ceasefire deal that will bring the hostages home – and we hope the Prime Minister would spend his time achieving that goal.
This is the real story of Israel: While Netanyahu gives a smug ass speech in congress - Carmit Palty Katzir, who's father & brother were murdered on October 7th and her mom kidnapped, is arrested by Capitol Police for wearing a shirt demanding Netanyahu to "Seal the deal"
Thanks to @biannagolodryga and @CNN for inviting @AzizAbuSarah and me.
We will continue to build bridges, and to create hope everyday. If we can do it, YOU can do it.
