@farmistead@SerendipityWrk Very good questions! The blockage ratio is dependent on both the particle size and the channel size. I didn't see particle deformability has effect for focusing in this work. Similar sizes would be difficult, but it's possible to separate objects with a size difference of >1um.

@MiyukiXu@SerendipityWrk Very good question! The low flow rate is one limitation. Currently, we've been thinking to use another kind of viscoelastic fluid such as Hyaluronic Acid solution instead of PEO to increase the flow rate. Another way is to parallelize the channels.

Also, for the same type of yeast cell, they would have different shapes in the different cell cycles. Therefore, is it possible to tell if the cells are from different cell types or from different cell cycles?
