Just wanna say that I know @hellochow as someone who's incredibly hardworking, kind and trusting.
There's a lot of FUD on the TL from engagement farmers, but I think anyone who has actually worked with the people @JupiterExchange and @MeteoraAG will tell you that this is a team with high integrity and the best intentions.
This is a difficult market to participate in. And an even harder one to build for. But these are genuine builders—exhausted, overworked, and unfairly maligned.
@hellochow was one of the few founders still around during the Solana bear, staying behind and relentlessly working to rebuild. I’ve seen him pour years of his life into bringing this ecosystem back, even when others walked away.
People are down bad. They want a scapegoat and someone to blame. Look past the mob mentality that this space is so prone to.
I’ve seen my fair share of DeFi teams. And there are none with higher integrity than Ben and @weremeow.
this is insane looking back.
@hellochow used to host the discord call bi-weekly alone with 1-2 audiences. yup, no kidding, 1-2 people would show up listening to/discussing with him for hours. he didn’t stop and kept doing that.
the team is just amazing. another core team with *malaysian* 🔥🔥🔥
Listened to this whole thing, and read the conspiracies. Going to be maybe contrarian and defend @hellochow here.
Launchpads are tough. My brother was deeply involved in the early days of NFT launches, and I myself ran a token and NFT Launchpad for a bit.
When something big comes down the pipe, a big celebrity etc, as a founder you are directly in the support trenches. You hold their hand. You provide every bit of tech support. Middle of the night? Guess you’re staying up. Nobody knows behind the scenes devs and founders are working their asses off to make sure launches go well. That’s not guilty by association. That’s manning the ship. You do the best you can with due diligence, but it’s mostly social proof. If someone I trust intros me to a big fish, and I’m just providing tech support, I’m going to do it.
The only evidence I can see in this video is that Ben provided support to some really crappy people, and also made intros that helped spread these shitheads around. Which… hindsight is 2020? Not exactly a smoking gun. Maybe he could have done more dd to figure out who sniped this guys other tokens? But external snipers are a legitimate thing, easy to write it off. Can’t expect him to ZachXBT every big token launch.
I’ve seen no evidence whatsoever that meteora or jup employees are engaging in sniping. Why would they? Jup is successful af they literally don’t need to do that. Happy to be proven wrong here, but let’s put away the pitch forks and breath for a second.
We are the investor in Mercurial and been supported @weremeow@sssionggg@hellochow, Zhen and the whole JUP/MET team since 2021.
All I can say is they are the most high conviction with high integrity on Solana that you can’t find anywhere else.
They are the only team double down when everyone else pivoting to other chains after the first defi season, then ftx crisis and other challenges
They are also one of the team that also show supports to other teams within Solana ecosystem over the last couple years
We’re lucky to have them on Solana and we should support them more instead of giving them more challenges
JUP/MET is in the winning business right now and it’s worth multiple billions and will continue to growing if they keep this momentum
There is no reason to take risk on it.
I am holding strong belief in @weremeow@sssionggg@hellochow and the whole team for their integrity.
Keep building!
