Onchain IP excites me for many reasons.

1) Transmedia IP is the future. Building IPs onchain enables creators to build transmedia franchises and universes much quicker through the power of communities and permissionless collaboration. Combine this with AI and I have no doubt we are on the edge of a renaissance.

2) Onchain IPs like @doodles, @Azuki, @coolcats, @akidcalledbeast etc were built onchain. They are incubated and nurtured through a die-hard community that has a deeper connection to the lore and vision because of concepts like digital ownership. The community drives the project to new frontiers, helping shape the direction and representing the IPs as part of their identity.

3) Network effects. @ysiu has shared his ideas about how tokens and NFTs unlock new network effects enabling onchain products and IPs to grow faster and in more connected ways than web2. Tokens amplify powerful network effects by enabling interoperability and ownership of assets—transferable items, cross-platform digital identities, and shared ownership models significantly accelerate growth and foster deeper, more interconnected ecosystems.

These create seamless interactions and collaborative opportunities across multiple projects, allowing decentralized applications to leverage each other’s user bases and functionalities, far surpassing the capabilities and limitations of traditional Web2 frameworks.
