@mindnestug@Stacie77586572@Meyarmoses@Lukayi_Chosen We should encourage feedback. We need to check in on friends who open up to us with their mental health issues. We need to foster a sense of psychological safety and not add on to their already existing mental illnesses.
@mindnestug@Stacie77586572@Meyarmoses@Lukayi_Chosen Reducing stigma. Normalizing discussions about mental health and challenges. For example how it was done with HIV and AIDS. Nowadays it is normal for us to have conversations on it unlike back then. Now victims of HIV are thriving.
@mindnestug@Stacie77586572@Meyarmoses@Lukayi_Chosen Embracing imperfections. One has got to know that mistakes are made every now and then in order to grow. Otherwise, you get drained trying to be perfect.
@mindnestug@Stacie77586572@Meyarmoses@Lukayi_Chosen This would involve setting boundaries. Learning to say , "No" when necessary. Because in a world we live now, when you become so reliable to people, they start taking advantage of you.

@mindnestug How to Overcome Superwoman Patterns;
1. Practice saying NO
2. Delegate and ask for help
3. Connect with others
4. Create Mini Moments 😊 #me_time
5. Let go of guilt (You are not responsible for everyone and everything. Let them solve their issues)
@mindnestug I believe it is more important to be a woman who is super because she's allowed to say no, to set boundaries and also allowed to rest; while being Superwoman you have to be a SUPERHERO hence showing up for everyone except yourself. So, let's put down capes and live Life.
@mindnestug Ugandan women must be encouraged to prioritize their own needs, practice self-care, and seek support when needed. One should know they are not alone, the community, your family and friends have your back.
@mindnestug For instance, a woman in a traditional African society may feel obligated to care for her extended family, manage the household, and work outside the home, all while maintaining a perfect image.
@mindnestug In many African cultures, women are expected to be caregivers, manage households, and contribute to the family income. The pressure to excel in these roles can be intense, and the fear of not meeting these expectations can lead to feelings of guilt, shame, and inadequacy.
@mindnestug Being a Superwoman is an asset in some way; but also a liability too.
The fact that when you are a Superwoman or you follow the superwoman patterns for a long period of time; you are more likely to develop; -High blood pressure
-Cardiovascular disease
-Mental health illness
@mindnestug A Superwoman is a woman who will excel in all facts of life for example;
a woman who makes money,
runs the house, takes care of her kids, Volunteers for community service, perfect home, does not need anyone's help but she's completely capable of helping you.
