I wholeheartedly support the design competition but can’t get my head around the fundraising for it.
The last time a Prime Minister lived there was 2015 (Harper). Since then, Canada has given approximately $90 billion in foreign aid and international assistance to other countries.
Don’t get me wrong—I support foreign aid and international assistance but surely we can provide a suitable and secure Official Residence for the Prime Minister of our country?
Furthermore, Canada and India are the only two countries in the world that provide a residence to the Opposition Leader. The UK doesn’t. Australia doesn’t. Why do we? I say sell Stornoway to pay for the renovation/rebuild at 24 Sussex.
@hidinghoney Nope, don’t enjoy riding in the rain. Always have my rain gear with me as sometimes storms can sneak up on you regardless of forecast. Also, when on a trip sometimes you have no choice.
@PatsKam It’s about what you grew up with. 95 degrees sounds like death to me. 60 degrees also sound like death as well lol. 0C is freezing 20C is the perfect working outside temperature.
Who decided making cars without a physical key was a good idea? In what way is more convenient? How is the added stress of the owner needing to mindful of the battery life of the transmitter more convenient or safer than an actual key?
@OrevaZSN because the downtown economy has built cities and municipalities. All the lunch shops and gas stations need people working to use what they are selling.

Another much more accurate way of saying this is that the Continental Army invaded and captured Montreal in 1775.
The disastrous attempt to take Quebec City, a smallpox outbreak, dwindling supplies and no support from locals sent them back south by 1776.
@chase_the_high Does he have a Whiper or a Niedermyer in his collection. These are two very talented knife makers from Pine FallsManitoba. Long shot i know, but if so I’d love to see a picture of them.
