People love to remind us that Gowon and Murtala led Nigeria in their 30s. What they conveniently forget is that those men didn’t queue up behind old godfathers begging for a Special Assistant position. #theplatform#june12#theplatformnigeria
To the Obidients asking “How come Noheem who isn’t heard online managed to win the primaries?” Well, he’s not a social media favourite. However, he’s deeply involved in the grassroots.
For instance, attached is a short clip from the Obidients/Kwankwasiya summit that was held a week ago. Noheem was present and he did well to interact with Obidients/Kwankwasiyas present (he’s the one in white Agbada).
Meanwhile, Funso Doherty was absent, unexpectedly. He's probably basking in the euphoria of the promise of an automatic ticket, in his mini-palace. Hence, he didn't need to associate with Obidients/Kwankwasiyas in the state.
I also learnt that during the primaries, Funso Doherty failed to mobilize voters to the different venues of the primaries while Noheem did.
I genuinely wanted Funso Doherty to emerge but I was very disappointed at his bizarre political tactics. His over-reliance on social media clout and failure to do grassroots mobilization handed him the embarrassing showing at the primaries.
This proves that if the ticket had been handed to him, he would have had a very poor showing at the general elections. He’s simply not serious, a paperweight politician!✍️
A security at my office was sacked for theft, one of the cleaner who apparently was his girlfriend resigned in protest.
Both are jobless and broke but madly in love . A Shakespearean tragedy 😅
I REJECT THE CONCOCTED RESULTS OF THE ADC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES
Following reports of widespread voter disenfranchisement in most parts of the country during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primaries yesterday, I unequivocally reject the concocted results being announced.
I had initially stated that I will only accept the outcome of the Primaries if the process was free, fair, and transparent, and I stand by my word. I will not accept results from a process that does not reflect the values that the ADC had pledged to uphold, to rescue Nigerians from the impunity and gross mismanagement that our country is currently facing in the hands of the ruling party.
There’s no way that about eighty percent of members of the party were not allowed to vote, and you expect me to accept such results. Then what makes us different from the others? The whole idea of the ADC was to give the Nigerian people a platform, to amplify the voices of the downtrodden, and make Nigeria a better place for everyone irrespective of backgrounds, ethnicity, or religion.
A party that criticizes the ruling APC and INEC for vote buying, rigging and writing of results, cannot be engaged in vote buying, writing of results, and other electoral malpractices that leads to the disenfranchisement of voters who are party members. This is not acceptable!

Was 2023 truly Nigeria’s fairest election?

What does this likely mean politically?
If no clear winner emerges in the first round, the election could ultimately be decided by negotiations between the candidates for their base support.
Which is why it is more important than ever for Nigerians — especially young people — to register, collect their PVCs, and vote!
Every vote will count!
The Constitution states that the runoff is between:
• the candidate with the highest total votes nationally, and
• the candidate among the remaining contenders who has the broadest spread across the states.
In simple English: Vote Spread matters more than Volume
