THROWBACK VIDEO: Adeniyi Adeyemi, convener of ‘presidential promotion council’, hosted pre-world investment summit dinner in Abuja with diplomats, politicians and security officials in attendance
@DrJoeAbah Sir the idea of state police is good. But we have not seen the bill, so we don't trust how they will frame the letters of the law that will create the state police.
The difference between a good state police and a private militia can lie within the letters of the bill
@Dannymasterp@justin_bighead And Tinibu entered and out-borrowed all of them.
If Tinibu wins and after 4years and things don't get better and God forbid if things gets worse, you will find another excuse or start claiming you regret supporting him
@Dannymasterp@justin_bighead It's bad to remove subsidy without transparency in how the funds saved is used.
It's bad to create local autonomy without any way to enforce it.
@Dannymasterp Tell me just one thing that has gotten better since Tinibu or APC took over?
Quality of life is worse
Standard of living is lower
The populace is poorer
Our power has not improved
Insecurity has worsened
@Omojuwa It's not true that to achieve that it will cost up to $30B
It will only cost that if you are wasteful as we have been in this country.
The level of waste and bureaucratic inefficiency in the power industry is underestimated
@ansem_edet Please give us the full quote and show us what he has done.
And answer only one question, has our power improved from when he entered and now in terms of generation, transmission, distribution and constant power
@dtch007@EleluAyoola But go ahead support whoever u want. After all is your lyf.
And if you believe that your support will bring closer the kind of future that you want your children to live in, by all means, fight for it.
Just don't think that you are teaching anyone a lesson by your vote
@dtch007@EleluAyoola So, my dear, My claim that they are evil has nothing to do with whatever the outcome of the election.
And it is clear to everyone how the last election was rigged and the level of violence that was unleashed.
@dtch007@EleluAyoola People with corruption cases and those dat has been convicted before and shady pasts full d administration
I dont need any more evidence 2 conclude that they are evil
But if u stil debate whether they are evil or not Then I cannot wake someone that's pretending to be sleeping
@dtch007@EleluAyoola So, anyone supporting them is supporting evil.
People are being kidnapped, murdered on a daily basis.
We are borrowing like mad people and we cannot see where the money is going.
Subsidies are being removed on almost everything and we are still borrowing more
@dtch007@EleluAyoola Assume?
There's no assumption here..
The current leaders are known. We have seen their works and it is clear to everyone that is honest to themselves that they are evil.
So I don't need to assume that they are evil
@Iam_akinbusola Corruption and waste thrives in darkness.
Put light there.
Achieving 10k MW in 4years is more than possible. You just need to be serious and work with serious people
@Iam_akinbusola I disagree
We don't need that huge amount of money that you think.
We already have the capacity to generate up to 1k MW, where we need creative solutions is in transmission and distribution.
Transmission issue can be solved in either of these two ways
@Iam_akinbusola What has kept Nigeria power down is corruption and lack of accountability This two things leads to enormous waste
Solution: put a touch light on them. Get them a website, a web app, every contract, every NERC order every single thing happening there, let it be open to the public
@Iam_akinbusola For Generation, the only issue we have is shortage of gas sometimes.
The FG can come in and guarantee the gas supplies to gencos.. renogtiate those loans that tie up our crude..work with dangote refinery more
@Iam_akinbusola The problem with Nigerian power needs a bottom up approach.
Start with Discos and tackle their lack of investment and metering issue and once that process has started, shift to transmission.
And let their process run in parallel for a year
@Iam_akinbusola For metering, remove the distribution companies entirely from the metering process, meter everyone with a third party and force the discos to pay for the meters.
Disconnect anyone that's not metered.
Use smart meters
