The tipping portion of the dining out experience is the worst, particularly in the US. After a positive dining experience, we all want to tip generously without being foolish. I can’t understand why restaurants don’t simply add a minimum gratuity requirement to each table based upon total bill and number of individuals being served and let patrons add to that minimum per their ability and intention. We’ve watched the suggested tip rise over the past several decades from a few dollars to 10%,, 12%, 15%, 18% and now 20% of the total bill and even that’s no longer enough now? Wow. If gratuities are of such import, they should be automatically added to the bill and clearly specified in the menu. This will make everyone’s life easier.
@JoshHall2024 They must go to prison without delay, stripped of any and all Gov’t privilges and caused to surrender all ill-gotten wealth to the penny!
