@rothschildmd He literally says Alabama had the most deaths per capita...And the anchor does not stop him to ask: WHY!
Maybe if Rs had taken the pandemic with some sincerity, lives could have been saved.
For Rs the thought that COVID was a hoax and killed 9M ppl is perfectly consistent now...
I often am accused of being happy when Israelis are killed because I support Palestinian rights. But believe me, I care more about Israeli lives than the armchair Zionists here who cheer on war.
When Israelis die, it is my friends and family who are on the line. When soldiers die, it is people like me, raised on Zionist lies, who are getting killed. They do not know any better. They were lied to their whole lives.
I have seen the consequences of suicide bombings in Israel. I have seen the consequences of IDF attacks. They are a nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
My ambition and goal is only to reach peace. Where no one has to die. Not Israelis and not Palestinians. Because every life is equally precious to me.
Soldiers just occupied the home of an American citizen in Turmus’ayya—a home flying an American flag. Sure seems like a direct message to @GovMikeHuckabee and @SecRubio that American citizenship means absolutely nothing to Israel. Great ally you’ve got there 👍
People often say, why don’t villagers in the West Bank ever hit back when Israeli settlers are brutalizing them or burning their homes? The answer was always obvious, but this is it. Netanyahu will use it as justification to accelerate slaughter and destruction in the West Bank:
Donald Trump’s spiral continues. The failed president, pocketing billions as he drives up prices, is afraid to lose the midterms. So he will reheat debunked election conspiracy theories and tell bizarre new lies to deny his 2020 defeat and attack voting rights. This is a disaster for Trump puppet Mike Collins. Already mired in scandal, Mike will now have to double down on conspiracy theories toxic in the General Election. From the start, Trump’s obsession with Georgia elections revealed his fury that Black voters were instrumental to his defeat. I'm asking concerned citizens nationwide to join me and support our voter protection efforts in Georgia.
Israeli settlers, brandishing American made M4s, detained me & other Americans on my trip to Palestine.
When the IDF arrived, they sided with the settlers & continued our detention.
They made a huge mistake.
You will be hearing more soon. https://t.co/rZw8bRAn64
@billybinion 2 Things are simultaneously true:
1) Seniors cannot be entirely absolved of tax and societal duties
2) 400K net worth as a retiree is very little. That money needs to last through rest of life and needs to also support healthcare and chronic care.
There are at least two reason they might not want to update us on McConnell’s condition:
-In Kentucky, a special election to replace a Senator will NOT be called if it’s closer than 3 months till the next election.
-That date is August 3rd.
1) If McConnell’s condition is clearly unfit for office, they’d hide that to avoid being forced to submit a resignation letter until after that date.
2) If McConnell has not regained consciousness or has the chance of oxygen induced brain death and is on artificial life support, they would try and
-In Kentucky “brain death” is legally considered death under Kentucky Revised Statute § 446.400
-Any two independent physicians may declare the patient dead for the purposes of the seat being vacated IF the patient is only “alive” due to a ventilator and artificial life support systems.
But, his next of kin (Chao) would need to be involved in the process of treatment and testing and final decisions to end support for that path to be viable…
She left to China 3 days after his hospitalization.
So is McConnell alive and well? Is he awake and functional? Is he a vegetable?
Either way I think they are trying to make sure we don’t have the answer to that until August 3rd.
Please do not call Elon Musk a fascist. He is not a fascist. He has simply endorsed a post arguing that universal suffrage causes "universal suffering", that the population must be divided into "makers" and "takers", and that "takers" should lose the right to vote. He replied "I have wised up".
This is not fascism. It is simply the position that democratic participation should be contingent on economic productivity as defined by the ownership class. The richest man on the planet arguing that people who do not generate sufficient private wealth should be stripped of democratic representation is not an authoritarian position. It is simply a return to pre-1832 franchise politics, when only men of property could vote. The Chartists who fought and died for universal suffrage were clearly wrong about that one.
The "makers and takers" framework is not fascist language. It is merely language that recasts the entire working population of every developed economy; every nurse, carer, teacher, cleaner, shelf-stacker, warehouse worker, bus driver, and pensioner; as parasites whose democratic voice threatens civilisation. This is a completely normal thing for the richest man in human history to believe.
The argument that the franchise must be restricted to protect the productive class from the unproductive is not a fascist position. It is merely a position that every fascist and authoritarian movement in European history has held, from Mussolini's abolition of free elections to Salazar's Estado Novo, which tied voting rights to literacy and property, to Franco's Spain, where elections were abolished entirely for nearly four decades.
But Musk is not a fascist. He is a "maker". A maker who built his empire on billions in government contracts, public subsidies, state-funded infrastructure, and tax incentives; funded, that is, by the very "takers" he now believes should not be allowed to vote.
Do not call him a fascist. That would be rude.
Elon Musk is the richest person in the world. He has an effectively infinite budget for hiring researchers and fact-checkers. And yet like 50% of his utterances on here are horseshit. Please read this thread to understand how time-consuming it is to debunk them.
@sgodofsk Housing is an essential good...those who do not acknowledge this and talk about it as a pure investment/regular commodity sound weird & out of touch.
We can talk about the best way to respect property ownership, but it is secondary.
The Reflecting Pool is a perfect metaphor for the Trump administration:
- Ignore experts and science
- Overspend
- Declare early, historic victory
- "THE LEFT HATE THIS"
- Ends in total failure
- Unfounded conspiracies about sabotage
- MAGA pretends it doesn't actually matter
BREAKING:
Israeli settlers are burning Taybeh in occupied Palestine.
A village that has stood for thousands of years.
A place where Jesus once walked.
Home to the oldest living Christian community in the world.
And not a peep from Western mainstream media.
