Last night, I received a text from my employer .
The moment I saw it, I had a feeling that something not so good was coming.
A while later, a lengthy voice note followed, explaining that I had been laid off from my tutoring job due to some unforeseen circumstances on my employer's end.
Honestly, it's not the news I wanted, especially at a time when I'm trying to figure things out financially. 🥲
But life happens, and sometimes we have to restrategize and keep moving.
If you know of or have any available remote tutoring opportunities like for Utme, I would genuinely appreciate a referral.
I'm open to opportunities where I can teach, add value, and earn while continuing my studies.
A retweet would also be greatly appreciated. 🙏❤️
I will keep saying it time and time again that as a freshman in school starting your undergraduate program.
Try to put yourself in places where informations are shared , check out for opportunities you fit into by doing your own research and reaching out to people.
make sure you keep applying and improving yourself even when you don't get it at the first trial, but atleast you tried .
Scholarship boards do not select base on GPA alone , there are other things they look out for before making their final decisions.
My first scholarship I won while in year 1 the Requirement was a 2.0 GPA yearly.
I was surprised when I saw it on my award letter, because it was never stated during the application process under the eligibility criteria.
So having a GPA of less than a 4.5 doesn't make you less and shouldn't limit you or discourage you from applying for an open opportunity, where you met the criteria. never let the "imposter syndrome" that other people who have better grades than you will be selected. It shouldn't feed your thought one bit because It's an open game to everyone under the same scale provided you fall within the requirements needed.
Never disqualify yourself from an opportunity you haven't been rejected from.
Don't stop pushing definitely, a moving applicant will meet his luck soon.✌️
Best regards,
A moving man...
