This dad is over it. He’s trying to explain to his 8-year-old daughter why she doesn’t need a cell phone — she’s never anywhere without him or mom — but the peer pressure keeps coming.
So he finally told her about a disturbing situation he heard about in Texas, where parents used their daughter’s phone for nefarious reasons involving her friends.
He looks straight into the camera and asks the question so many of us are thinking: Why are we giving 8-, 9-, and 10-year-olds phones?
For context, I was in my 30s when I got my first cell phone, but they weren’t that prevalent back then.
Sometimes protecting our kids means saying no, even when it’s unpopular.
What age do you think is too young for a phone? Or do you think kids need them earlier now?
Kids with an active dad are 3.5x more likely to be active themselves. With both parents active, that goes up to nearly 6x.
Your habits have a bigger impact on your family than you think.
@Cassidy_Rob Only thing Cal has definitively done better is win an sec championship and recruit. Overall record, head to head, and tournament wins are identical. Just cause Pope hasn’t been great doesn’t mean it wasn’t time for Cal to leave
@KyleTuckerCBB Nil and the portal have been awesome for the sport. The best teams in this era are stupid good. Sucks that Kentucky isn’t part of that despite having the resources for it
