Commending Exceptional Leaders

Today, I thought to celebrate the remarkable leaders who have left a lasting impact on my career journey. There’s no doubt that people talk more about negative leadership experiences, but for me, today, I'm taking a moment to acknowledge and celebrate some of the outstanding leaders I've had the privilege to work alongside.

Though the list is inexhaustible, I will highlight their contributions in no particular order.

1. @walesj1967 (Head of Tax, KPMG Africa). It's truly remarkable how Wale maintains his accessibility and generosity despite his undoubtedly extensive network. It's fascinating to consider the multitude of individuals he's connected with worldwide and how he manages to uphold those relationships. It's no surprise that he's mentored numerous professionals who have risen to become Partners in various Big4 firms—an impressive testament to his impact and influence.

2. @YomiOlugbenro (West Africa Tax Leader, Deloitte). Thank you for being an exceptional leader who consistently emphasizes the importance of excellence. Mr. Yomi's significant impact, achieved without seeking publicity, demonstrates his genuine humility. He fully embraces the Deloitte vision of making a meaningful impact that truly matters.

3. @dblssd (COO, EY West Africa). Thank you for being an amazing leader. "Uncle B," possesses a rare quality of objectivity. He seamlessly integrates his Christian values with professionalism, consistently delivering truth with wisdom. At times, I find myself wishing for even a fraction of his insightful perspective! 😂

4. @EdememeW Oladiji-Wusu (Ex-Director KPMG). Absolutely remarkable. Just as shown in many of her posts, it is evident she genuinely believes that taking care of her employees' well-being directly correlates to the success of the organization. Edememe will go all out to help you achieve results.

5. Isah Yusuf Aruwa FCA, FCIT. (Technical Lead-multiple functions, DIL) and Olaoluwa 'Niyi (Director, EY) have some things in common. There are very few senior executives who would sacrifice their temporary gain for the future prospect of their subordinates.These guys stands as top1% on my list of exemplary leaders.

6. Titilayo Awojobi ACCA, ACA. (Group Tax, Diageo). I picked our picture to caption this post. Thanks for being an incredible senior-turned-family member. Titi is firm, quick-thinking, and always supportive of younger colleagues' growth, going the extra mile to ensure targets are met.

While the list of great leaders is endless, I'll pause here for now. I'll pick up again at the end of the month.
