Detroit Opera mourns the passing of our colleague and friend Anne Parsons, President of the Detroit Symphony. Her advocacy, for an ever-vibrant arts and cultural center for Detroit audiences both young and young at heart shall remain part of the legacy that she leaves behind.
Detroit has made an impact in nearly every aspect of life, including Broadway theater. Detroiters Diahann Carroll, James Nederland, George C. Scott and Ronald Milner have made lasting impressions on American theater through their work producing or acting in Broadway performances.
