@CityofDetroit Maybe, just maybe, if we had a police commissioner who didn't brag to city council that his handcuffs looked brand new because he hasn't needed to use them in years... Well, I don't know, maybe things like this wouldn't happen ๐ค๐๐ค
First intensity gets solar panels! Second intensity gets data centers!
They say history doesn't repeat itself, it rhymes. I can't believe in the same city council hearings, they talked about reparations for black bottom as they were voting to clear out neighborhoods using eminent domain for solar panels.
Get CRIME under control and lower TAXES. Then EDUCATE your constituents so they can have JOBS that pay high WAGES and maybe retailers will move to the city without "being attracted by your team". Taking the shortcut of retailer subsidy is a dangerous short term win with long term consequences. Oh, and this video looks fun and all, but is NOT a good look in attracting anyone else besides the Detroiters who are already in your wheelhouse...
@RightSandy@mikeeduggan@Charlieleduff Oh, like taking hundreds of properties via eminent domain for solar panel farms? How about that? Oh, and suppressing it in media by hacking accounts that made pages to try to go against his curated narrative!!
Yeah, in the name of environmentalism he'd be continuing his trek of using eminent domain to seize private property all over the state for solar farms.
Bulldozing a dozen occupied or salvageable homes to generate 30 acres of solar within a few blocks of Woodward when there are 30 acres of rooftops nearby, meanwhile paying $7.7 million to attorneys to do so is insane!
@CraigDMauger@detroitnews Only one of them conspired with DTE to take hundreds of parcels of land and dozens of homes from private citizens using eminent domain for solar panel farms ๐คท
@brandenflasch I'm at 80% at 94k miles. And was just quoted 3K for a compressor and super manifold replacement ๐ณ
But I'm at like 90% supercharging since it's free for me ๐
@CollinRugg Maybe if they got the people who took eight of our hot water heaters and furnaces last winter, including ones that had air tags and actually investigated, got the camera footage when they exchanged them at Menards, and arrested the people, this wouldn't have happened!
@brandenflasch I paid more than that, but my free supercharging is getting mighty good use... One year and 50k miles later, saved about 15k vs. gas so far.
There should be mandatory PUD zoning on lots over 1 acre not in a subdivision. You can fit a cul-de-sac and 10 small homes in that footprint...
We need to look forward to alternative uses on commercial and previous religious sites. Detroit has a great zoning amendment just passed.
Charlie! We are probably fourth in the nation disaster relief due to "not a Democrat" Duggan colluding with the Biden administration to get tons of money for sewer backups. I believe it's the first time a man-made disaster was declared natural. June 2021... They still have leftover money from it. Some of the money has been converted to homebuyer grants. ๐๐
@Charlieleduff What about the dozens of homes demolished for the solar panel farms in Detroit? Are those lots contaminated too... In the name of "the environment"?!
