Moca settle across rails nobody owns, and @THORChain is the most unusual of them.
No CEO, no company, nobody who can tell a contributor no, yet the code keeps shipping.
@AaluxxMyth explains how that works on this week's Thorchain podcast, and @Maya_Protocol's role in it 👇🏼
You do not force circular economies into existence.
You make accepting crypto useful today.
Then you build merchant density until paying with crypto down the whole street is just normal.
Most merchants will not become crypto native on day one.
First, accepting crypto has to be useful today.
Lower fees. Faster settlement. More customers. Clean records. A simple way to use the money, cash it out, or spend it through a card.
Its the middle step that can make a difference in how crypto gets adopted for everyday use cases.
You onboard businesses by solving the problems they have now, not by asking them to immediately live inside the future you want to build.
Once enough merchants are accepting crypto in the same high density places, the next step becomes obvious.
Customers can spend it.
Merchants can keep some of it.
Businesses can start paying each other with it.
Circularity stops being a belief system and becomes the easiest next transaction.
That is the path, that's what we're trying to build in the long term.
The fight for freedom and independence keeps moving every time people stop waiting for permission.
Money's getting there too.
You walk up, pay with whatever crypto you hold, and no one in the middle gets to approve it.
