Why did the success of Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners' not send "Hollywood" running for original or adapted Black African fantasy, sci-fi, horror?
I know the answer is afrophobia.
The only Black book that I know that is in development at Prime is The Davenports. I couldn’t even fit all the white book adaptations in the first collage. #WHEREARETHEBLACKGIRLS

@PopBase These new categories are good for visibility, but it also highlights something simple, music from different cultures is still being sorted into separate boxes instead of being judged on equal footing in the same space.
@hollandersass@unrivaled the true honest answer is because it’s a predominantly white sport and most romance writers only know how to write white characters without using poc stereotypes/racism
that one tweet that said hollywood will see the success of heated rivalry and come to the conclusion that people want to see more hockey couldn’t have been more right
