Lead GTA and RDR writer, Dan Houser confirms he left Rockstar Games because the projects became bigger and tougher and took a long time to make:

“It can be a tough journey getting things at that scale with that many moving parts finished, you got 450,000 lines of dialogue and equal numbers of parts of other things all trying to assemble itself.

It’s this huge production experience and that swallows all of your time for many years, and I didn’t know if I had another one of those games in me.”

The gap between Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty 7 is wild. Battlefield actually feels like a real war game, while COD is basically a Fortnite-style battle royale with prettier graphics. I tried giving COD a chance, but just compare the two videos you’ll see exactly what I mean.
